Abstract: The use of water as a solvent in organic reactions offers various advantages from the point of view of Green Chemistry. This talk focuses on the results of a 20-year journey in the development of various water-stable organometallics1, water-tolerate Lewis acids2 and metal-free systems3 and their applications in the synthesis of natural products and drugs as well as biomolecules functionalizations.
